kill city giveaway

December 20, 2009

You may have noticed that I am pretty obsessed with my Kill City jeans. Who doesn't love a good pair of wood grain-ish, marbled jeans? I typically grab my pair running out the door when I'm rushed to think of what to wear - it totally works for last minute outfits.

So, Kill City emailed me (probably after reading my insistent raves about these babies) to partner up and do a giveaway for a special reader! This is a perfect gift for yourself after the holidays.

  • Leave your name, email, and how you would style these jeans
  • I'll close comments on December 26th 11:59 PST and send the winner an email for their shipping address
  • Feel free to tweet about this contest!
  • Sorry!! US Residents only!
I think that's it, but feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions!

  1. Damn, these babies are badass.

I'd probably wear them with my BCBG Mendel boots, a red silk tank and a black bejeweled vest that I just snagged.

    Fabulous giveaway, R! And I RT'd it :)

  2. Although I would nottt look good in white jeans LOL I've loved these since I saw em at urban like a year ago. So might as well enter! :p

I'd wear em with some military inspired jackets, I just got a tan Lee's jacket that'd look good with these and accessorize with a coral necklace. With some ankle boots and some leather cuffs too.

  3. Woooowww I love those jeans so much! They're so awesome! I'd style them with my giant clunky black wedge ankle boots, a sheer black oversized tee, loads of necklaces and bangles, and a *huge* smile on my face! Thanks for the chance to win these lovelies!

  5. nice! I love these jeans! And I really need jeans that are NOT black, so these would be a nice addition to my closet!

I'd wear them with my long, breezy ecru tanktop, a short-sleeved navy cable-knit sweater, a Chinese silk square scarf with a pretty red, green and peach floral pattern, and since I don't really have a 3-year-old purple and lime sneaks.

    thanks for hosting this giveaway!

  7. Love 'em! RT'd the giveaway. :)
How would I wear these? Hmm...
Half sleeved black silk button-down and Burberry Prorsum lace-up boots. Top it off with a deep purple leather bag.

*cross my fingers and hope to win*

    Great giveaway!

  8. i'm jamee, my e-mail is

i'd style those jeans with a pair of black tory burch flats and some sort of loose, fluttery sleeved, pastel (reminiscent of burberry prorsum s/s 10 color pallete) shirt. i like the idea of a crossroads of softer pieces with those jeans. i'd need some sort of unique, eye-catching vintage necklace. i add one to almost every outfit i wear.

I'm thinking my desert boots, a long white lace cardigan and a string vest layered over a zip through tight cami?

  14. i would wear them with an oversized black sweater and either my k jacques picon sandals (i love wearing sandals with winter clothing) or my black frye engineer boots (tucked in, of course). even if i don't win, these jeans are absolutely amazing and i might go buy them myself :)

  16. This is hard because I love the way you styled them in your 10.20.2009 post!

Hmm, I would wear them with my vintage cream pumps, thrifted loose and sheer lace blouse styled asymmetrically around my shoulders and tied in a kristen stewart knot at my waist, black tank under, with my hair in a big knot atop my head with some sparkly '80s chandelier earrings.

  17. I would wear them with Chanel's Spring 09 Mesh bowtie booties, a hot pink bra, slouchy white tank top and a black longhaired mohair vest, not to mention I would pile on an absurd amount of bracelets :)

I would wear these jeans with an American Apparel big tank in Forest with my MbyMJ capra leather boots. LOVE THESE JEANS!

  28. First, i just want to say, how much I love, I have been a faithful reader since last December.

*Although I love fashion, I am a teenager, so my mother doesn't splurge on pricey items. I've always felt like a high fashion lover, shopping at target. Target is wonderful, but isnt nearly as great as kill city jeans. So, I would more than appreciate the jeans. I would sleep with them, take a bath with them, go to school with them and have a special hanger for them, hehe!

I would definitely rock them with:
    *black Thick vintage clunky boots
    *tight gray tank top
    *black military short cropped jacket
    *military inspired hat
    *big thick sun glass
    *with vintage dog tags

(I'm already obsessed with how i'll wear them!!!)

  29. How freakin' awesome :)
I'd wear these with a white chunky cardigan and a derby hat with some wedge boots. The marble color would really add some unexpected design to a simple outfit like that.

  30. I'm a simple kind of gal, so with such awesome jeans I'd pair it with a simple black top, fierce black heels, and a chunky necklace!

  31. The jeans are such an eye catcher by themselves, so I would leave the rest of the outfit quite toned down. A black shoulder padded blazer with rolled up sleeves, a white sheer t-shirt tucked in and some killer platform booties would go great with them. Throw in some chunky bracelets and you're good to go!

  32. lori Ke

I would wear these amazing kill city jeans with a silence and noise black draped blazer, a peach bdg racerback tank top, a simple brown leather belt, a marc by marc jacobs classic q drawstringy leather bag, free people's laced Carolyn Bootie in black, and top it all with a leather tassel necklace and a leather chain necklace =]

structured with effortlessness and bold in mind .

    -lori ke

  33. Janice Zhang

If I won these, I've got these crazy white marbled platform heels and this body hugging stone white pullover, I can't wait to look like a statue!'d be an interesting look to try at least!

    Janice Zhang

  34. Lauren

Since these jeans embody rocker chic, I would like to balance the jeans out with a pseudo-preppy look.

I would don a loose charcoal button down ( with a cozy cashmere slate sweater (

I would rock these FABULOUS black studded OTK boots ( because I don't want to veer towards too preppy!

I would polish the whole outfit off with some nice silver chains. (

    Happy Holidays!

  35. I would wear my Kors by Michael Kors black round toe patent leather pumps and a black cropped top and my gunmetal and green turquoise necklace

    great giveaway!

  36. Name: Cindy
Email: lovemakeup.ecrater at gmail dot com

I would wear it with some black hooker boots, silky blue top, and a cropped leather jacket.

    Thanks! It's LOVE!

  37. I practically live in skinny jeans, and I have yet to add such a fantastic wash to my collection. I would pair them with a long tunic top, booties, and a long chain necklace and statement rings. While we're at it, I'll top it off with a beanie since it's getting chilly these days.

  38. i would wear them just really simply ; bright red converse, hooters vest and a giant man cardy, lets just let the goods do the talking :-D

  39. those jeans are completely amazing! I would wear them with black knee high boots, something sparkly, a black blazer, and red lip stain. thanks so much for the oppertunity!

  47. Rowan Louise

These jeans are amazing!!! They are such a statement, they would need to be the focus of the outfit! I would wear them with a long dark heather grey or black tank with long arm-holes with a black lace bra, a cool long statement necklace and tons of rings, and red ankle boots or heels! If it was cold I would throw on a vintage oversized blazer or comfy chunky-knit oversized grandpa sweater with flat, suede slouchy boots.

Again, I LOVEEEE these jeas! They are so great. I could think of so many ways to wear them, I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Haha.

    Rowan Epstein

  48. hi! They're so unique :)
I'd pair them with studded black anklet boots, a white v neck with a bold necklace, a vest, and leather gloves to finish it off. :)

  49. those are gorgeous! i would love to add some winter-white to my wardrobe! :)

I think I'd wear them with a bright yellow flowy t-shirt and then a cropped jean jacket i picked up from goodwill the other day- and then put on my heavy-duty brown leather boots. of course, being in the insane snow-weather that is boston right now, i would have to add warm things, but it would still look awesome!

  50. I'd wear them with my favorite shirt, this navy James Perse scoop-neck t-shirt that I shredded just for extra measure. Simple yet sooo effective.

  51. i'd wear these (sick nasty) jeans with my black cracked patent leather boots, a sweet ruffled dark purple top, and an oversize black cardigan. of course, since i live in new hampshire, i'd probably have to top it with my old winter coat :(

  52. I would wear these awesome jeans tucked into my eight hole Doc Martens, a vintage turquoise short sleeved button-down & a lavender cardigan.

  53. black silk tie front blouse and studded booties. thank you for the giveaway!

  54. I love the marble-like pattern on these jeans. I'd like to keep it simple and classic since they're so eye-catching...Probably wear them with a tight white tank top and a slouchy sheer black tee I have that's reminiscent to a Kain t-shirt ...(just alot less expensive ;) Pair them with a long gold necklace and my black ankle booties with gold studs on the heel. Hair with lots of volume and attitude, my black metal mesh clutch and I'd be all set :)

Thanks for the chance & the great giveaway!

  55. Relle

I would wear the jeans with the navy sheer Rodarte for Target top and my shiny black combat boots. I like to bridge the girly feminine with a touch of masculine detail. for jewelry I would wear a few big silver rings and dangly silver earrings.

I hope whoever wins wears them with love cuz those jeans are ahhmazing.

    Thank for the giveaway!

    <3 Relle

i'd wear them with black over the knee boots and a deep purple vneck cashmere sweater

  59. I love the these jeans! I would wear my black sequined jacket, and tuck an alexander wang white tee with black booties. I'm so in the need for new jeans, it's ridiculous..

    - Maria

  60. Hello I'm Melissa :)

I'd wear these cute Kill City jeans with a muted grey heavy sweater tunic since these pants are already eye catching. Oh! and paired with black peep toed oxford wedges. yum!

  61. Jessica Mia Yoon

I'd wear these with killer platform heels. I'd style it with chunky metal bracelets and a cropped hoodie sweater to bring it's casual along with the dressy-ness of the heels. The jeans would be perfect to top off everything.

  62. Anonymous

lime green sheer cropped top with leopard bra underneath, black Ms. Slefridge ankle motorcycle booties, studded cuff, loose bun.

  63. May

I would wear those jeans with my Sam Edelman gray suede boots, a white sparkly top, and a cozy turquoise cardigan for that pop of color. To style the jeans, I'm thinking of wrapping around a few periwinkle blue pearl necklaces around the belt loops of the jeans to make the jeans stand out more for the holidays.

  64. I would wear these sick jeans with my black Deena & Ozzy ankle boots, and a slouchy black v neck sweater.

  65. annabel,

I'd wear them with a black shirt, black leather jacket, and black thigh high boots a la Carine Roitfeld. I think with jeans like this its important to stay simple with the rest!

  66. This is extremely difficult because there are endless possibilities with a pair of jeans like this. First of all, I find it incredible how they are unique yet basic enough to pair with anything. It's hard to come across pieces like that. You want to spend on unique pieces but want to save for things you know you'll wear everyday. This is clearly the best of both worlds.

I would wear them with a loose mustard-colored v-neck t-shirt tucked in, a brown belt, and a pair of vintage turquoise suede pumps.

...Or perhaps my menswear navy blue sweater with platform sandals. Or a black corset-esque tank top with gladiator boots for a more raw look. The possibilities are endless.

Topping it off with a black blazer would create a great contrast with such badass jeans.

  67. Awesome jeans! I'd wear them with a red silk button up top, studded black booties and a fierce attitude.

    nguyenvivieh (at)

  68. YUM. I am a jeans freak, so I would wear them all the time... with any and everything in my wardrobe. Offhand, I can think of a few outfits:

    - layered on top with a tee, plaid button-up & army green jacket with flats or Docs
    - white Victorian blouse with a long navy blue sweater vest & Converse
    - black turtleneck & this amazing chunky sweater I just got from Madewell

    Ohhh the possibilities are endless!

  69. Fatima

Love them. Would wear with my new combat boots and a loose top.

  70. Great jeans!

I would love to style them:
    if I owned these products:
-Jeffrey Campbell "pixie" boot or sam edelman "zoe"
-a dark forest green batwing top
    -a big chunky gold necklace
    -marni balloon handbag

    In my actual wardrobe:
-black UO short sleaved sweater w/ knitted details
-vintage red suede flat booties w/ bow
    -black leather backpack
    -jade earrings

  73. I'd wear these with either my Fiorentini + Baker Eternity boots or my Mini Market Jodhpur wedge boots. On top I'm wear a basic black James Perse tank with a vintage Kenzo swing coat over the top, belted at the waist with a vintage Lacroix belt. I would accessorize with ridiculous, chunky, bright jewelry from one of my favorite Etsy sellers BeijoFlor.

    Love your blog, as always!

  74. Violeta

Shame you're not accepting contesters from abroad! But anyway it's always a pleasure to visit your blog and find sth. different!

    Congrats! Keep it like that!

  75. I LOVE these jeans!!

I kept my grandfathers old country club sweater when he passed and ever since then it's my go to item 1 because it reminds me of him and 2 cause it really does go with everything, it's blue with a red and gold crest on the left chest area. I'd definitely rock that sweater with my Steve Madden open toe corset booties.

    Nikki, nicole247@gmail

  76. Tina

  79. Vinita

I'm a big fan of mixing textures and elements so,

I would style the Kill City jeans with an edgy dress such as this

    from Balmain

with shoes like these from Manish Arora

  80. Those would be perfect for accompanying me to metal shows in my stomper boots, and motorcycle jackets. I tried on a pair of Kill City shorts over the summer, and they fit like heaven! I can only imagine that these will be the same...

  81. Oops, my email address is

  82. These jeans stand out on their own. I would wear a simple white tee with my warm black leather jacket. To top it off, black heeled booties. Simple yet chic.

  83. Krislyn

These jeans are raw and very rocker chic. To add a touch of femininity and sophistication, I would pair these with:

-American Apparel Nylon Spandex Stretch Floral Lace Bodysuit in Creme Floral
    -Forever 21 Fur vest
    -Sleek bronze ankle boots

    Clothing found at:

  84. Vinita

Hey I could swear I had left my email address on top.
    Anyways my email

  85. Hello! My name is Caroline Kim. Email:

These jeans are fabulous. I would pair them with low-key items to let the jeans to do the talking. I would wear a simple black tank top from H&M, some gold jewelry from Forever 21, and some classy black pumps from Kate Spade.

  86. I basically live in neutrals with simple shapes and interesting textures. I'm thinking: my black wedge laceup boots in leather, a semi-sheer white v-neck, and my new black faux fur jacket that fits and looks more like a slightly heavy cardigan (worn open so that so that the white shirt is visible). Simple proportions, a mix of textures, and an (interesting!) varying neutral palette.

    name: ashley

  87. I would definitely wear them with my new plum velvet heels and a red-violet sheer, lose silk tank top.
And definitely a thick studded to show that there IS a waist under there.
And of course my military-green slouch bag that I wear with almost everything. It's just THAT good a bag!
And I'd, of course, wear my hair wild, curly, and loose. 'Cause Lord knows I am too lazy to straighten that mess.

  88. Anonymous

1 giant batwing sequined top - vintage

Perhaps some rings reminiscent of the 70's, super chunky and feminine.

  93. My name is Kimberly
    and this pair is wild!

I'd wear it with a Patron Silver tee that I recently got with a gold sequined vest or maybe my faux fur vest and black flats.
