The Safari Hunter

1.20.2008

I was tagged earlier by Tru of Perks of Being a Wallflower to post what's in my bag. While I'm too lazy to continue tagging people, who ever comments can tag themselves.

Earlier, I made the HTML code to make it so it is possible to click around the picture for a closer view, but I lost my flashdrive in a very frustrating manner. So, I'll just post up each close up.

My favorite purse of the moment. In it, lotion for obvious reasons, my camera, Clean and Clear oil absorb sheets (an absolute necessity), keys, barrette, and my Marc Jacobs coin pouch.

I have two planners, one for work and one for school. Basically, this is my life in writing: my homework assignments, my work load, current magazine, paper work, everything! Without it, I am lost and overwhelmed with thoughts such as, "I know I have something to do/buy today, but I can't remember what."

My punk rock wallet that I absolutely adore and unfortunately parted ways with it for 3 months because I lost it. Turns out, through networking, one of my friend's cousin's friend's sister found it at Chipotle. I am also quite aware that at 16 I looked like an Oompa Loompa, but I get a good kick out of it still.

I don't really wear much makeup, but I don't leave the house without my concealer and blush. I also carry around sample perfumes in case I have to spritz up on a short hand notice. If you haven't tried Clinique's Pore Minimizer, you must run out to get a tube, you won't ever need to use foundation or powder with this in hand.

And since I haven't posted one in a while, here's a Wearing Today:

As you know, I've been extremely infatuated with chunky heels, and though you can't see, those heels have a nice wooden heel to it. It's a little Marni + Yves Saint Laurent inspired.

Aren't those Smashbox powders great? I generally buy them on eBay for less than half price. They lift up the complexion ever so slightly; but I have to say I don't think you need this--what a radiant driver's license photo!

Not your best outfit Rachel; I'm hating the shoes. But I'm glad you got back to 'wearing today' posts, I really missed them.

the shoes look cheap but you carry it off with your confidence.

wow you were an oompa loompa 2 years ago? i had no idea!

other than that, i like your bag and i like smashbox cosmetics.

how tall are you?

That's supposed to be a jacket, not a dress.

Hence the super short awkwardness.

Unless of course the pantalones just slipped your mind, a la Lindsay Lohan...

LOVEE the dress!! At first, I thought you were wearing a jacket and nothing underneath, haha.

Two planners is so smart. I think I'll do the same.

Despite the hate comments on your outfit, I think it's chic. Wearing the trench as a dress makes the classic, conservative trench a little naughty and fun without being slutty, definitely taking style notes. I like the way you think.

- I'll try to get more wearing todays up!
- I am 5'5 without heels.
- And not only was I an Oompa Loompa 2 years ago, the past two days I've been disguised as a blowfish!
- The Smashbox powder is amazing! I suppose it can work as different shades of eye shadow, but the pinkish hue doesn't really compliment my eyes. I use a flick of the brush over the entire palette as blush.
- I also realized that I forgot to include my cellphone in this picture. I am the type of girl who can't part from her phone but always manages to miss everyone's phone call.
